Ancient, Roman, Byzantine Salamis Saturday 23 November
Α journey into the history of the amazing ancient city of Salamis. During our journey from Nicosia to Salamis you will learn about the ancient history of the most important of all the city kingdoms of Cyprus, and of course its Byzantine and Roman History. Salamis became the capital of Cyprus during Byzantine Rule under the name Constantia and two of the most important basilicas of the whole island, that of St. Epiphanios and Campanopetra are found within walking distance from the Theatre of Salamis. We will return to our starting point with a walk along the sea.
