Important Information:

Walks in occupied Nicosia START and FINISH at the Ledra Street check-point. situated at the end of pedestrian Ledra street in old Nicosia within the walls. (in Turkish this check point is called Lokhmaci ).

Other walks in Nicosia START and FINISH at the Famagusta Gate Cultural Centre.

All other excursions [requiring a bus] START and FINISH in Nicosia at the parking place of the University of Nicosia, in Enkomi. There is ample space to leave your car within the parking place.

Valid ID and Passport

For all excursions in occupied Cyprus you need to have a valid ID or a passport and you need to fill in a form that will be provided.

Lunch: During day long excursions please bring along sandwiches and snacks. Water will be provided. There are plenty of coffee shops to have drinks and snacks for those who want.

Walking in Nicosia: up to 25 people
Excursions with bus: up to 45 people

What happens if the numbers are not reached?

If the numbers below are not reached then the walk/excursion is cancelled
Minimum required for Nicosia walks is 10 people
Minimum required for bus trips is 20 people

How do we know that an excursion is cancelled?

You will receive an email at least a week prior to the date of the excursion

What ages can participate in the excursions?

All ages provided they appreciate the wealth of the cultural heritage and the history of Cyprus.

What means of transport is used for trips outside Nicosia?

We use TC buses and depart ALWAYS FROM THE CHECK POINT OF THE LEDRA PALACE

Do you cater for lunch for the day trips?

No

Do you provide drinks in the bus?

NO, no drinks are provided in the bus
 

Do we have insurance during our trip?

Yes during the bus drive, but not during the visit to the site.

Can I travel to the occupied part of Cyprus without a passport or an ID?

No, unless you have either a passport or a valid ID you cannot enter the occupied area

How can I pay for my excursion?

You can pay cash during the trip, Quick Pay of the Bank of Cyprus, Revolut or Paypal

Can I cancel my booking if I decide I cannot make it?

Yes provided you let me know at least a week in advance. People who cancel 2 days prior to the trip and on the day of the trip have to pay

Will you let me know if the excursion is confirmed?

Yes, you will receive an email confirming your reservation a week before the excursion

How do I pay through Paypal?

All you have to do select the excursion you want, press the «book now» button, fill in the questionnaire and push the button «send». When I receive it I will send you an invoice the amount to be paid and with directions of how to pay Paypal with your credit card. After paying you will receive a receipt which you should have with you on the day of the excursion.

What does my excursion fee cover?

The bus fare and the entrance tickets to all the archaeological sites mentioned in the excursion.

Do school children travel free?

Yes they get a 50% discount for the bus trip and join the walks of Nicosia for free

Do you have discounts for university students and soldiers?

Yes, they pay 20Euros for the Week end bus trips and they DO NOT PAY for the walks of Nicosia.

Do you have trips starting from Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Polis?

"Not for the moment". Trips begin and end in Nicosia. Tailor made trips can start anywhere in Cyprus.

Where and what time do Nicosia walks begin and end?

NICOSIA WALKS start at the Greek Cypriot check point of LEDRA STREET at 10.00 am on Saturdays only

Where and what time do the Week end bus trips begin and end?

Week end trips start at the TC check point of the LEDRA PALACE HOTEL AND BEGIN AT 9.00.
